This voltage optimised solar panel is ideal for use in powering 12V off-grid systems and charging 12V batteries as it can supply a maximum of 90 Watts of power at 4.7 ampere DC per hour. It’s rigid anodised aluminium folding frame and toughened tempered glass prevent damage due to frost, snow, hail and high winds giving it a design life of over 25 years of consistent free power. However, the lack of suitable mounting holes make fixing the panel more difficult than others.

The easy-to-wire 10A charge controller has built-in protection functions to prevent damage from incorrect wiring and uses MCU and SCM technology to maximise your batteries capacity and life providing more than enough power for powering a fridge, television or laptop, perfect for caravans, boats and off-grid houses.

The 80W Go Power Solar Panel Kit contains all you need to fit solar electricity to a 12V battery system such as in a caravan or boat. Built-in bypass diodes minimise the impact of shading while its simple components and clear instructions make it a doddle to wire up.

The Go Power 80W Solar Panel Kit Main Features

Let’s take a look at some of the Go Power’s GP-PSK-80 solar panels features:

The Panels Good Points:

  • Top of the range 80 Watt Solar Panel with excellent performance even in low-light conditions.
  • Made from 36 (6×6) high performance, high efficiency monocrystalline solar cells.
  • 3.2mm tempered glass and rigid anodised aluminium alloy frame for exceptional strength.
  • The solar charge controller is voltage optimised for use in 12V systems and charging 12V batteries.
  • Weatherproof and durable, perfect for permanent outdoor use on a boat, motor home, or in a solar garden.
  • Lightweight, portable and complete with charge controller and 5 metres of flexible cable.

The Panels Bad Points:

  • Only 80 watts of solar power available.
  • High cost of the kit compared to others.
  • Requires additional mounting holes and/or brackets.

This high quality waterproof 80 watt folding solar panel is ideal for people who want to save money on their electricity bills and the environment, or where it would cost too much to install electrical cables to a shed or outhouse. This 80 watt panel is powerful and portable enough to be used to power hundreds of devices that you may use in a shed, boat or caravan such as lights and pumps and will even generate free renewable solar power on a cloudy day.

The 10 Amp solar charge controller supplied with the panel, gives protection from over-charging and over-discharging while thermal cut-outs prevent damage if battery or panel is incorrectly connected. The controller incorporates LED indication of battery capacity including low-charge warning to show when the battery is charging. It also helps protect the panel against output short circuit, excess output current, input short circuit, or incorrect wiring.

Due to its rigid anodised aluminium alloy frame and 3.2mm thick tempered glass giving it exceptional strength, it is perfect for permanent outdoor use in the garden to provide free power either directly, such as powering a pond fountain or pump, or for keeping your car, caravan, boat or motorbike battery topped up around the clock.

Connecting GP-PSK-80 Panels Together

  • Hi,
I’d like to reproduce a bimini top solar panel installation, but the supplier of the panels have since gone out of business, are there any Amazon dealers you can recommend for me for these light weight semi flexible 50W-100W panels? I’m also looking for panels with heavy duty magnets for this type of application to eliminate the need to stitch on the panels. do you know where I can get hold of some?
